  5. Howard prides himself on taking his campaign for Lieutenant
  6. Governor right to the people. Driving himself around the
  7. state's southern region in a rented car last fall, Howard went
  8. door to door seeking support. But if his sense of politics is
  9. fine, his sense of direction was, well, a bit off. One voter
  10. liked the senator's pitch but told Howard not to count on him.
  11. Turns out Howard had unwittingly slipped across the border, and
  12. was asking for votes in Tallahassee. Said Howard: "This proves
  13. I'm willing to go to every corner of the state and beyond."
